The Bassin Zim Education and Development Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1993 in the United States. Our organization is committed to supporting sustainable development initiatives in Haiti, particularly in rural communities. We collaborate with local partners in Haiti to implement programs that promote education, environmental protection, and community empowerment.
Our Mission
Notre mission est d'éduquer et de sensibiliser davantage à Haïti, avec un accent particulier sur ses communautés rurales, souvent appelées "Moun Andeyò" — "personnes de l'extérieur des villes". Ces communautés représentent le cœur des traditions culturelles et de la production agricole d'Haïti, mais elles font souvent face à un accès limité aux ressources et aux opportunités. Grâce à l'éducation, la sensibilisation et les partenariats, nous visons à soutenir le développement durable et à renforcer ces communautés.
